This is going to be a quick, long photo strip, since it is Mothers Day
and I have to get that Lemon Meringue Cheesecake made!
Lets just say, the day was beautiful, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the yachts gave us an exciting start with plenty of yelling and close sailing ... and a fleet of 12 dinghies took tot he harbour, showing just where the growth in the club is coming from!
Trophy night is at the end of the month, so make sure you RSVP to the office !!

Martin had Impulse sailors breathing down his neck all afternoon ...
Sonofabeach and Intriigue started almost on time ...
things got a little close ..
until Intriigue sailed away into the distance

the Doctor finally got his Orders
 and hunted the rest down ...  .. and it was on to a dinghy start           .. that pile was a puzzle ...    Steve looked impressive   everybody had speed ...      and on to Race Two ...    A bit of splash from Maria ..  this made the day a bit interesting , watching Doctors Orders make her way through the dinghy fleet and around the mark  and they did it so well..   But Steve was never going to win that one...   the dinghy fleet sailed into the choppy water  Solitaire soon followed around the mark   A nice head on shot of David  there were a few sideways running opportunities    Dirk had full control!  the working tugs are always interesting ..  Intrigue gave us a pretty show   I think a bit of colour could work her Peter !  and the day was done1  |
